Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble derivative of ascorbic acid, has efficient oxygen scavenging and nutritional strengthening functions. It has all the physiological activities of vitamin C, and higher stability than vitamin C.
Ascorbyl palmitate is used as nutrition strength modifier or an antioxidant in foods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and it also can be used as an antistaling agent.
